and Bequests Training.
He served as local church pastor in
California, West Virginia and New York and

and public relations in the Wisconsin
Conference, United Methodist Communications
and the General Board of Global Ministries.
As a consultant he has worked as a

in Goshen, NY and for the Cancer Research
and Treatment Fund in Manhattan. In his fund
raising career, he has raised over $100
million for various causes through major
donor contributions, planned gifts, capital
campaigns for endowments, annual mailings
and special events.
When asked about his new assignment,
Muhleman said, “I am looking forward to
working with the Bishops and their cabinets
as well as pastors and their charges to
develop an understanding of planning for the
future of our church and its ministries.
Billons of dollars will change hands as a
new generation steps up to replace the older
generation of leadership. Our faith call us
to be not only good stewards of the gifts we
have from God, but also to develop and
maintain our outreach to the world as the
Spirit leads us to serve the community. I
look forward to helping to keep the vision
of our faith alive for the future.”
Reverend Muhleman replaces Susan Ezrati, who
has served as Interim Director and President
of the Foundation since July 1, 2007. Ms.
Ezrati will remain on the Board of the
Foundation and continue to serve on the
Executive Committee and as Chair of the
Investment Committee. The United Methodist
Frontier Foundation offers services in
stewardship education, clergy finance,
capital campaigns and endowment planning and
management to churches in the New York
Annual Conference, the North Central New
York Conference, the Wyoming Conference, the
Troy Conference and the New York West
Conference.
